Keyboard shortcuts that save time
Ten shortcuts almost everyone should know.
- Ctrl + C copies, Ctrl + X cuts and Ctrl + V pastes.
- Ctrl + Z undoes your last action.
- Ctrl + S saves.
- Ctrl + F finds a word on the page.
- Ctrl + A selects everything.
- Alt + Tab switches between open programs.
- Windows + D shows the desktop.
- Windows + L locks your computer.
- Windows + Shift + S takes a screenshot.
- Ctrl + Shift + Esc opens Task Manager.
Good to know
On a Mac, use Command in place of Ctrl for most of these.
