Sign in with your face or fingerprint
Set up Windows Hello so you can skip typing your password.
Windows Hello lets you sign in with your face, your fingerprint or a PIN. It only works if your computer has a compatible camera or fingerprint reader.
- Open Settings, choose Accounts, then Sign-in options.
- Choose Facial recognition, Fingerprint recognition or PIN, then select Set up.
- Follow the prompts. You will be asked for your PIN or password first.
Good to know
Windows keeps this information on your computer. If an option is missing or greyed out, your computer may not have the hardware, or your business may manage the setting. Ask us.
