A laptop or device is lost or stolen
Tell us right away so we can protect your accounts.
Speed matters most. Every hour that passes gives someone more time to try to get in.
- Call or text us at (231) 884-7146. Tell us what was lost, where and when.
- Change your Microsoft 365 password from another device. See Reset your Microsoft 365 password.
- Tell your manager.
- If it was stolen, report it to the police and keep the report number.
- Do not try to get it back yourself.
Tell us what was on it
Tell us whether it held customer records, saved passwords or files that were not stored in OneDrive. We will help you work out what that means for your business.
Good to know
Do not wait until you are sure it is gone. A laptop that turns up an hour later is a good problem to have.
