Lock your phone and find it if it is lost
A passcode now, and Find My or Find Hub for later.
Lock it
- On an iPhone, open Settings, choose Face ID and Passcode, and turn on a passcode. On Android, open Settings, then Security and privacy, and set a screen lock.
- Use at least six digits, and skip birthdays and repeating numbers.
- Set the screen to lock automatically after a short time.
Find it
On an iPhone, turn on Find My. On Android, turn on Find Hub, also called Find My Device. If the phone goes missing, you can then see where it is, play a sound or erase it from another device.
