Printer prints blank, faded or streaky pages
Toner, ink and cleaning steps.
- Check the toner or ink levels on the printer's screen or in its software.
- For a laser printer, take out the toner cartridge, gently rock it side to side and put it back. Do not do this with ink cartridges.
- For an inkjet, run the printer's Clean print head or Cleaning option from its menu.
- Print a test page.
- Check that the paper is dry and made for your printer.
Good to know
If streaks stay after a new cartridge, the drum or fuser may need service. Tell us the printer model.
Careful
Toner is a fine powder. Do not blow on it or vacuum it.
