Your printer shows offline
Checks to try before you call, in the order most likely to help.
- Look at the printer. Make sure it is on, has paper, and shows no error message or blinking light.
- Check that it is connected. A printer on Wi-Fi should show a connected light or a network icon on its screen. A wired printer needs its network cable plugged in at both ends.
- Turn the printer off, wait ten seconds and turn it on again.
- On your computer, open Settings, choose Bluetooth & devices, then Printers & scanners. Select your printer and open its print queue.
- Cancel any stuck jobs in the queue, then print a test page.
- Restart your computer and try again.
Careful
Please do not delete and reinstall the printer or its software yourself. That can make the problem harder to fix.

Tell us which printer it is, whether anyone else can print to it, and what the printer's screen says. A photo of the screen helps.
