No sound from your computer
Checks for speakers, headphones and volume.
- Check the volume icon at the bottom right. Make sure sound is not muted and the volume is up.
- Check the volume knob and power switch on any external speakers or headset.
- Select the volume icon, then the arrow beside the volume slider, and choose the right output, such as Speakers or your headset.
- Unplug headphones or a headset and plug them in again.
- Restart the computer.
Good to know
If sound works in some programs but not others, check the volume inside that program too.
