Monitor shows no signal or a black screen
Cable and input checks for a screen that will not show a picture.
- Make sure the monitor's power light is on.
- Check both ends of the cable. Unplug and plug them in firmly.
- Use the monitor's menu button to choose the right Input, such as HDMI or DisplayPort.
- On a laptop, press Windows + P and choose Extend or Duplicate.
- Try a different cable, or a different port on the computer.
- Restart the computer with the monitor connected.
Good to know
If a docking station is involved, unplug its power for ten seconds, plug it in again, then reconnect it to the laptop.
