Zip and unzip files
Bundle many files into one, or open a zip file you received.
Make a zip file
- Select the files or folder in File Explorer.
- Right-click, then choose Compress to ZIP file.
- Name the file and attach it to your email.
Open a zip file
- Right-click the zip file and choose Extract All.
- Choose where to put the files and select Extract.
Careful
Be careful with zip files you did not expect. They are a favorite hiding place for malware. See How to spot a phishing email.
