Word, Excel or PowerPoint will not open properly
Run the built-in repair when Office apps crash or act strangely.
- Save your work and close all Office apps.
- Open Settings, choose Apps, then Installed apps.
- Find Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office, select the three dots and choose Modify.
- Choose Quick Repair and follow the prompts. Then try opening the app again.
- If that did not help, repeat and choose Online Repair. It takes longer and needs internet.
Careful
Repair keeps your files. Do not choose Uninstall unless we tell you to.
Good to know
Some business computers do not allow changes to apps. If you see a message that you need permission, open a ticket instead.
